Learn Mandarin not English ... that's the global language to speak now
China claimed first position in exports by passing Germany recently. It's the place where all action will be in this decade & to flourish with the rising tide in China first prerequisite will be to learn Mandarin. Out of every five people around the world one speaks Mandarin. Professionals having good command over Mandarin will have competitive advantage & higher prospective of success in China.
Mantra of this decade is when you are in China do & speak as the Chinese do .

How green is our effort………....
Now days whenever we open newspaper ,there is one or more articles on global warming & green house effect. The recent trend to alleviate the greenhouse house effect & meet the power shortage is to use the CFL(Chloro Flouro Lights) over yellow bulb. As per the figures CFL uses less electricity & produces less heat compared to the yellow bulbs.
But before coming to any conclusion we need to analyze the fact in bit more detail. CFL has mercury vapours inside it which is very toxic in nature. Mercury is one of the most poisonous material know to human being. A small qty of it is enough to do collateral damage to our health.
Often CFL are refilled so that it can be re-used again . In India this work is mostly done by the un-oranised sector where the safety condition in way below the standard. If accidentally there is any leakage of the mercury vapours then the aftermath will be quite serious.
It is not that I am against using CFL as an alternative source of light …….but before going forward with that we have to take utmost care & analyze the other part of the supply chain to mitigate the statutory hazards. Refilling of the CFL should be done in safe environment with extreme care. We all should contribute whatever is possible from our side to save our blue planet. Don’t follow any thing because media patronizing some idea but do some homework on that & start adopting the same when you are satisfied that it is apt to follow.

Economic Impact of Genetic Engineering
The people who got the predilection towards GE states that it will solve the scarcity of food in the under-developed countries as there will be direct increase in the productivity with it. They also claim that the genetically modified seeds got higher nutrient value compare to the traditional seed.
But this is one side of the fact ......There are other factors which need to be taken into consideration before coming to any conclusion. These genetically modified seeds are mostly higher priced compare to the traditional seeds. So the farmers may have to take loan from bank & other sources to purchase them. In that condition in case the productivity doesn't turns out to be as expected they will be in deeper problems. One more thing which is to be worth noting is that, there has been major aversion towards the genetically modified organisms in western Europe & Japan esp. In that condition there will be deluge of the hybrid food which will lower its price as per the demand versus supply.
With Genetic engineering we have the option to choose the right set of attributes for a new born baby. This will make things much more difficult with competition among human race raising altogether to a different plateau.
Now we need to give it a serious thought before investing in Genetic Engineering .....taking into consideration pros & Cons .
