Reincarnation of Indian Judicial System….

It seems that suddenly the laggard Indian justice system became active. The recent decision of some long cases involving the who’s who in society clearly shows that a new era of justice against the crime has started. It depicts that just nobody is above law & each & every one has to pay for their wrong doing. The courts decision in Jessica Lal’s case has proved that influential people can no more get away easily. It not the sole example but Sibu soren’s ,Sanjay Dutt, Siddhu , DCP Tyagi & Matoo’s case speaks for itself. First time in the history of Indian Judicial system any union minister in power has been convicted. Same is with Siddhu is not only a famous cricket commenter for is out of box thinking but also an active Rajya Sabha member. There are lots of factors which have facilitated the trend and among them media is the forerunner. A whole new image of media can be seen, understanding the social responsibilities & raising the decibels. The support shown by them in Jessica’s case is phenomenal, in the absence of which the outcome of the case may have been different. Media forced the system to put the case in the case in fast track. One more thing which is been observed is that the people are coming up & agreeing to witness in the court. Bina Ramani’s maverick input in Jessica’s case is exemplary. . In this particular case I recollect dialogue from movie Rang De Basanti that no nation or society is perfect … It is the responsibility of the denizen of the country strive for it. Though there are some witnesses who turn hostile in eleventh hour but slowly public is coming up to stand for it. Now the question that arises is whether this a temporary phase or the long pending cases in court involving influential people is something that will get buried in the pages of history. Only time has the answer of this question…. but I’m sure that every one of us working towards our social accountability will keep the thing moving .
